It's hard to dance with two left feet
It's hard to sing when your voice ain't sweet
It's hard to talk when you can't find the words
It's hard to listen when you never been heard
But I just keep on, keep on trying
day by day
Yeah life is hard but there's no other way
It's hard to sail when you ain't got a boat
It's hard to swim when you can't even float
It's hard to run when you ain't got no shoes
It's hard to find a song that isn't the blues
So I just keep on, keep on trying
day by day
Yeah life is hard but there's no other way
It's hard to eat when you ain't got a dime
It's hard to work 'cuz I'm way past my prime
I get no lovin' 'cuz my looks went away
It's hard to keep on moving to a brighter day
But I just keep on, keep on trying
day by day
Yeah, life is hard but there's no other way
There's those who see but they got no eyes
There's those who speak but it's always lies
There's those know everything right from the start
There's those who feel but they got no heart
Still I just keep on, keep on trying
day by day
Yeah life is hard but there's no other way.
It's hard to do when I always don't
I say I will but I know I won't
I make no promises I know I can't keep
I got no trouble when I lay down to sleep
So I just keep on, keep on trying
day by day
Yeah life is hard but there's no other way

Stand and Fight
Well, my daddy taught me how to shoot,
my uncle how to kill
and I'm standing in this rocky crag
looking down the hill.
I'm waiting for a stranger
as he's walking up the slope
and the man don't know the danger
got the target in my scope
Stand and fight
Cut and run
Bring a knife
Bring a gun
Can you tell me
what we're fighting for?
Damn your politics.
Damn your wars.
Well the sun was shining brightly
when the man came into view
and although he dressed in funny clothes
he looked like me or you
It would only take a single shot
to bring that hadji down.
As I squinted through my rifle scope
This is what I found
I saw Jesus in his face
I saw Buddha in his eyes
I saw Allah and the Virgin Mary
walking side by side
and I heard a choir singing
as the heavens opened wide
and I know that it's not manly
but I just broke down and cried
Stand and fight
Cut and run
Bring a knife
Bring a gun
Can you tell me
What we're fighting for?
Damn your politics.
Damn your wars.
Well I never felt the bullet hit
but suddenly the pain
made me turn and look above me
at another rocky crag.
I could see his head and then his gun,
there was something really wrong
and as my eyes grew hazy
I heard him sing this song
Stand and fight
Cut and run
Bring a knife
Bring a gun
Can you tell me
What we're fighting for?
Damn your politics
Damn your wars.
I saw Jesus in his face
I saw Buddha in his eyes
I saw Allah and the Virgin Mary
walking side by side
and I heard a choir singing
as the heavens opened wide
and I swear as he reloaded
the man broke down and cried.
Stand and fight
Cut and run
Bring a knife
Bring a gun
Can you tell me
